In a “View From the Top” Q&A session with the editors of Microwave Product Digest, Peregrine’s CEO Jim Cable shares his views on the defense market, small cells, China’s economic activity and the Internet of Things (IoT). Jim begins by discussing intelligent integration and how it benefits not only the defense market but “any industry or application that needs greater system capability and operational flexibility.” Jim predicts that small cells will roll out in significant volumes in 2016, and he views the small-cell market opportunity as a perfect fit for Peregrine’s UltraCMOS® technology. He explains that the 2015 China investigation resulted in a significant slowing of Peregrine’s business in the wireless infrastructure market, but Peregrine is seeing signs of recovery in Q1 2016. He concludes by discussing the opportunities for Peregrine’s products in IoT applications.
