In a Q&A session with the editors of Microwave Product Digest for the December 2013 edition, Jim Cable shares his views on the LTE industry and his vision for its future. He believes that RF SOI is the way to go to increase the integration necessary to keep up with the demands of the LTE mobile device industry. The small-cell market is an excellent fit for the company, as it combines high volumes with high performance. RF will be having “golden years” for the next few years as everything is linked to wireless demand and the technology will be further refined. When asked if any other geographic region can challenge the Chinese market, the answer is no, China is still the biggest market out there.
