Information Security
In recent years, information security risks have increased, such as information leakage due to internal fraud targeting information held by companies and suspension of corporate activities due to cyber attacks.
pSemi considers risks related to information security to be matters that may have a significant impact on our business, and is promoting the following initiatives to protect the company’s corporate secrets and information provided by business partners and customers.
Information Security Initiatives
pSemi implements information security management based on TISAX AL2 standards and incorporates recent risk trends and relevant guidelines in The United States and overseas.
Specifically, we have established rules such as the Information Security Policy and Murata Corporate Code of Conduct and we are developing and operating information security measures from three aspects: human, technical, and physical.
New and remaining risks are categorized, evaluated and monitored by the IT Group.
Human Side
We have created and distributed an Information Security Policy and Corporate Code of Conduct upon onboarding of new employees that explains the rules in an easy to understand manner so that all executives and employees can understand information security and handle information correctly.
In addition, pSemi provides training to raise information security awareness for all employees.
Technical Aspects
In order to deter pSemi leakage of corporate secrets and personal information, as well as the suspension of corporate activities due to cyber attacks, we have strengthened measures such as anti-malware, hardware asset management, firewall construction, Internet communication checks, identity management and system access control, and vulnerability diagnosis and response by external professional organizations.
We also collect and monitor various logs globally and establish a response system for events that may become security incidents. In particular, we are working to strengthen security at production sites, which are the basis of our corporate activities, and are responding to and taking measures against cyberattacks and risks that change day by day in order to maintain a stable and safe production system, such as regularly conducting incident response tests and drills.
Physical Aspects
At our domestic and overseas business sites and affiliated companies, we are constantly managing the entry and exit of people and vehicles at the site boundary to prevent unauthorized intrusion. On the premises, security zones are set up according to the level of confidentiality management, and access control is carried out using ID cards and other means to prevent unauthorized intrusion from inside and outside the company.
Initiatives to Protect Personal Information and Privacy
pSemi recognizes that protecting the personal information and privacy of others (customers, business partners, etc.) and employees is one of its important responsibilities and compliance, and thoroughly handles personal information and privacy in accordance with the laws and internal regulations of each country regarding the protection of personal information and privacy. These are also stipulated in the Murata Group Code of Ethics and Action Guidelines and the pSemi Privacy Policy
